Emotional eating is a pattern of eating where people use food to help them deal with stressful situations.We, human beings are responsible for everything that happens to us.Follow the simple rules of nature.It is a constant struggle in the body and mind. Self study is the first step to making changes and bringing balance.

Signs Of Real Hunger appears when the previous meal is fully digested.The biological signs of true hunger include a growling stomach, a feeling of lightness, a slight weakness, and coolness of the skin.If you are truly hungry, food will not sedate you; it will energize you. Healthy food choices leave you feeling light, energized, and refreshed. 

The mind is only one and therefore only one sense faculty is motivated at a time; all sense organs are not active simultaneously. Emotional eating is thought to result form a number of facts rather than a single cause.Emotions can compel to eat, form unwanted moods such as frustration , anxiety, worry or feeling down to positive emotions like excitement, celebration and anticipation.Food is a powerful symbol of feeling soothed and natural.Emotional hunger is usually associated with cravings for junk food or something unhealthy. Someone who is physically hungry will often eat anything, while someone who is emotionally hungry will want something specific, such as fries or a pizza.Instead of satisfying our physical hunger many of us turn to food for comfort and stress relief. We tend to reach for junk food, sweets and other umhealthy items of food.

The difference between emotional eating and binge eating is the amount of food that is consumed.Emotional eater may consume moderate to great amount of foods and he may be the part of an emotional illnes like depression or bulimia.Binge eating is a distinctive mental illnes and has episodes of compulsive overeating.The binge eater may eat much faster than normal and conceal the amount they eat.

We tend to reach for junk food, sweets and other unhealthy items of food.Unfortunately, emotional eating does not fix emotional problems, but it makes you feel worse.

Emotional hunger cannot be filled with food.Eating maybe good at the moment, but the feelings that triggered the eating may still there.Emotional hunger comes on suddenly. It often leads to mindless eating. Emotional hunger is not satisfied once you are full. Emotional eating triggers feelings of guilt, powerlessness and shame.Physical hunger comes on gradually and it can wait.Physical hunger stops when you are full.

The common causes of emotional eating are stress, boredom and social influences. Getting together with other people for a meal is good to realive stress, but it leads to overeating.This habit of ‘emotional eating’ or ‘comfort eating’ can become a problem if it becomes a regular habit as this tends to result in over eating and weight gain.Eating more mindfully can help focus your mind on your food and the pleasure of a meal and curb overeating.The importance of positive thinking is well-known and the energy and vibration of our thoughts manifest in the foods we eat.Emotional eating is not simply a matter of a person lacking self-discipline or needing to eat less.

Food can seem like the answer to not wanting to do a particular activity anymore.A nutritionist or doctor may also be able to provide a referral to an expert or additional information on creating positive eating habits..

In our fast paced life today, fast foods are on the rise.  We eat quickly, foods that are prepared with shortcuts rather than nourishing and energizing the body. Protein shakes are taken as ‘fillers’ and nutrition. There is a complete lack of attention to the process of eating. New and old diseases are rapidly on the rise and some are uncontrollable or incurable.

Before eating, check in – Am I hungry or emotional? Eat slowly and chew the food well. Stop eating before you feel full, to allow the belly the space and time it needs to digest what you have eaten. It is important to find other ways to manage our emotions.Engaging in meditations and some other relaxation techniques is a powerful way to manage stress.

Each human being knowing their unique design can prevent imbalances and diseases in their body and mind.
